Monday 14th December

3 runners at Larkhill on Saturday.

Firstly, Pauls Hill ran a good race in the men’s open. Champion P2P jockey, Jack Andrews stepped in for the ride and rode Paul well. He jumped nicely, galloped to the line and looked like a horse with plenty of winning in him. He is now for sale to stay in the yard and will give someone some really fun days out!! Please call me on 07972922661 if you’re interested in owning Pauls Hill to stay in the yard.

CaptainOfIndustry looked a picture but unfortunately unseated early on in the race and had a great time running loose. He didn’t have a hard time and is entered again for this week.

Our new recruit, Heist, ran a promising race under Tommie O’Brien. He travelled nicely into the race and Tommie wasn’t too hard on him. We learnt a lot and should go close next time having come on for the run and a flat, tighter track! He’s in a popular new syndicate called ‘We Agreed To This In a Pandemic Syndicate’ which is great value at just £45 for the whole year. Get involved!!

All the weekends runners are sound and happy this morning.

We have plenty of entry’s this weekend at Charing;

Prove me wrong heads for the restricted and hopefully can build upon her 5th in a good race last time out at Chaddesley. A lovely mare I regard very highly.

Clondaw Bunny is entered in the conditions. He ran a great race a few weeks ago at Wadebridge and was unlucky not to win, but hopefully we can go a couple better this time, although this looks a tougher contest on paper.

Bernardelli is entered in the ladies open and will give owner rider Ella Mcgarthy Jones some more race riding experience.

CaptainOfIndustry is also entered after his early race mishap at Larkhill.

There was much controversy over the low sun at Larkhill causing plenty of fallers and out of character jumps from older horses. Maybe the decision to bypass the fences before the home straight should of been made a few races earlier for the safety of both horses and jockeys.

Talking of falls, Gina Andrews had a horrific fall at Cheltenham on Friday fracturing her cheek and eye socket. We wish her a speedy recovery and hopefully we’ll see her back very soon! It just goes to show how tough our jockeys really are!

Back to the yard, our Norse Dancer 3yo returns this week after a lengthy break to grow and mature. We’re looking forward to getting going with him. If you would like to get involved, don’t hesitate to get in touch. Shares available… perfect Christmas gift!

Knockaderry Flyer has continued to step up his work and were very excited to see him on a racecourse early In the new year. He’s as enthusiastic as ever and will hopefully give his syndicate another great season!

In other news, more areas have gone into Tier 3 from Wednesday… it could be a very quiet Christmas for a lot of us, but we will be welcoming 2021 with open arms after the shambles of 2020!

Have a good week, stay safe and I hope the Christmas shopping is going well… if you’re stuck, a racehorse is always a great present!!
